Responsibilities
Planning, implementing, and evaluating funded housing, community and economic development projects and programs
Preparing contract scope and budget, processing contracts and invoices, conducting analyses, and preparing recommendations
Performing comprehensive analysis and evaluation of organizational and project performance and recommending plans to correct any identified issues
Reviewing proposed regulatory changes for fiscal and programmatic impact and making recommendations regarding the origination and revision of agency policies based on changes to city, state and federal laws and regulations
Contacting officials of public agencies, a diverse range of contracted providers, and City and departmental staff to obtain information or render assistance
Qualification
Required
Completion of a bachelor's degree program in public policy, social science, public administration, business administration, community planning, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university
Two years of housing and community development experience or planning, managing, or monitoring programs or contracts
Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required of a position in this class
Candidates MUST submit a copy of their official college or university transcript(s) indicating completion of the educational requirement at the time of application
Candidates MUST submit a copy of their license, registration or certification
Preferred
Completion of an industry related certification or additional experience may substitute for the required education on a year for year basis
Completion of a master's degree program with major coursework in public administration, business administration, community planning or a related area may be substituted for one year of the experience requirements
Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Human Resources
