Responsibilities
Solutions and executes migration of Mainframe applications into NTT DATA’s UniKix environment
Uses knowledge of Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Assembler, DB2, IMS, files, etc to migrate off the Mainframe
Uses knowledge of Unikix or Microfocus software to implement the solution
Uses Linux scripting to implement migration glues
Implements DevOps solutions on the rehosted system
Qualification
Required
6+ years in Mainframe migration/rehosting experience
Good understanding of legacy and current technologies; ability to identify code patterns and understand coding strategies; ability to propose, design and implement technical solutions, leveraging NTTDS tools and methodology, modern technologies, and frameworks; ability to create, automate and execute test cases and scripts
Proven experience with the following practices: Works well with clients, their stakeholders and end users; Experience in requirements solicitation; Able to differentiate between needs & wants; Experience in translating business requirements into technical requirements; Ability to work well within the team; Familiar with programming languages, and able to read some legacy code at a high-level to understand code rules
Proven ability to apply programming languages to develop solutions to business needs
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business, or equivalent
Familiarity with the following experience in large software projects; Experience modernizing applications
Linux Hands on Experience; Experience on Microfocus / Clerity (Unikix)
