Responsibilities

Own the health, outcomes, and financial impact of the global Membership project portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities
Lead high-profile projects and strategic initiatives, modeling excellence in project and program delivery
Design, implement, and continuously improve project intake, prioritization, governance, and business value assessment processes
Develop and deliver portfolio-level tracking, reporting, and insights for senior leadership to enable data-driven decision-making
Establish and mature project management standards, tools, templates, and best practices across the Membership organization
Coach, mentor, and oversee internal and external project managers supporting the Membership portfolio
Partner with senior stakeholders across Education, Research, Events, Product, Marketing, and local CFA societies to manage dependencies and deliver value to members
Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, interdependencies, and resource constraints across concurrent initiatives
Influence without authority in a matrixed, global environment while maintaining accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and quality

Qualification

Required

7+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional projects, programs, and portfolios
Demonstrated success building or maturing project and portfolio management frameworks—not just executing individual projects
Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting portfolio status, risks, and trade-offs
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent, high-stakes initiatives with financial and delivery accountability
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification
Experience in professional, membership-based, education, credentialing, or regulated organizations
Prior people leadership, mentoring, or PMO leadership experience
Familiarity with portfolio management tools, reporting automation, and continuous improvement practices
