Responsibilities
Manage and lead experienced configuration and data management professionals
Act as the technical interface to customers for configuration and data management activities
Manage cost, quality, and schedule for programs within span of control
Train, mentor, and provide guidance to team members
Communicate across functions to influence adoption of new practices and approaches
Develop or champion new concepts, technologies, and process improvements
Implement functional strategies and recommend operational plans impacting business outcomes
Oversee complex projects and processes with general oversight
Monitor team workload, metrics, and performance, and implement improvements
Support business development activities including estimating, proposals, and technical documentation
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Prior management experience
In-depth knowledge of configuration control and data management practices
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage cost, quality, and schedule across multiple programs
Active Secret Clearance at the time of hire
Bachelor's degree with six years of prior configuration and data management or related engineering experience
A graduate degree with four years of related experience
A minimum of ten years of relevant experience instead of a degree
Preferred
Familiarity with workload forecasting
Ability to make moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes
Graduate degree preferred
