Postdoctoral Fellow, Mass Spectrometry
Biohub is leading the new era of AI-powered biology to cure or prevent disease. They are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to work on low-input and single-cell proteomics, focusing on proteome heterogeneity in immune-competent organoid systems through advanced mass spectrometry workflows.
BioinformaticsBiotechnologyGenetics
Responsibilities
Design and execute low-input and single-cell proteomics experiments to investigate proteome heterogeneity in immune-competent organoid systems
Develop, optimize, and apply advanced mass spectrometry workflows for ultra-low-input samples, including method development, benchmarking, and quality control
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams spanning tissue engineering, immunology, computation, and instrumentation to build and interrogate increasingly complex immune-organoid models
Analyze and interpret large-scale proteomics datasets using state-of-the-art computational pipelines, and communicate results clearly through figures, presentations, and internal discussions
Disseminate research outputs through high-impact publications, preprints, and open scientific resources, contributing to a culture of open and collaborative science
Qualification
Required
PhD in proteomics, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, immunology, or a related quantitative life-science field
3 years of extensive hands-on experience with high-resolution mass spectrometry platforms (e.g., Bruker timsTOF, Thermo Orbitrap, or equivalent) and proteomics workflows
Demonstrated expertise in proteomics data analysis (e.g., DIA-NN, FragPipe, or related pipelines) and quantitative interpretation of complex datasets
Strong record of scientific productivity, creativity, and collaborative problem-solving in interdisciplinary research environments
Motivation to pursue innovative, independent research aligned with the Biohub's mission and to thrive in a hands-on, team-science culture
Preferred
Experience with low-input or single-cell sample preparation and isolation technologies (e.g., CellenOne, Tecan Uno)
Background in immune cell biology, immune–tissue interactions, or organoid model systems
