Responsibilities

Deal Structuring & Execution
Lead commercial negotiations and execute PPAs, retail supply agreements, interconnection agreements, and wholesale market products
Drive deals from term sheet through signature, coordinating with Legal, Credit, and Risk teams to ensure optimal commercial protection
Maintain strong commercial discipline around curtailment, pricing exposure, penalties, and delivery risk
Manage the commercial relationship between Data Center Operations and Generation assets
Develop and manage inter-company structures such as Tolling Agreements, Virtual PPAs, or Transfer Pricing frameworks that hedge load and align economics
Ensure generation assets and data center load are commercially synchronized with market conditions
Serve as the primary commercial liaison with ISOs/RTOs (ERCOT, MISO, SPP, PJM, etc.)
Identify opportunities for demand response, load flexibility, and peak avoidance to reduce all-in cost of power
Support interconnection strategy with insight into wholesale market rules, congestion exposure, and LMP risk
Own contract origination, drafting, redlining, and execution workflows
Coordinate cross-functionally with Legal, Credit, Risk, Treasury, and Operations to finalize commercial terms
Maintain governance around contract versions, approvals, and compliance with internal standards
Execute REC procurement and carbon-free energy strategies aligned with customer ESG requirements
Evaluate green energy and carbon-neutral procurement strategies while maintaining commercial viability and reliability
Monitor market offerings (CECs, 24/7 clean energy products, ZECs, etc.) to support long-term sustainability goals

Required

6–9 years of experience in Energy Origination, Power Marketing, Structured Trading, or a similar commercial role
Experience serving large energy consumers (Hyperscalers, industrial load, data centers) or Load Serving Entities (LSEs) is strongly preferred
Deep understanding of PPAs, VPAs, tolling agreements, retail supply structures, and grid interconnection
Strong grasp of wholesale market fundamentals: heat rates, spark spreads, congestion, LMPs, capacity markets, and tariff structures
Demonstrated ability to close complex energy deals and manage redlining across Legal, Credit, and Risk teams
Ability to navigate fast-paced, matrixed environments with shifting priorities

Preferred

10 plus years of experience in Energy Origination, Power Marketing, Structured Trading, or a similar commercial role
