Outside Sales Representative--Golden Triangle

Applied Industrial Technologies is a leading value-added distributor and technical solutions provider in the industrial marketplace. They are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow revenue, margin, and market share for a flow control portfolio across various industrial accounts, managing relationships and driving bookings through effective account strategies.

Wholesale

Responsibilities

Own a defined territory plan to delivery bookings, revenue, and gross margin targets
Develop and execute account strategies for top regional sites; refineries, chemical plants, terminals, power/industrial facilities
Grow market share through cross selling and upgrading severe service, critical isolation, control valves, actuation, instrumentation, and aftermarket service
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline (CRM) with accurate close dates, probability, and margin visibility
Conduct regular site visits, lead customer meetings, and coordinate plant walkdowns to identify MRO and project opportunities
Support outage/turnaround planning with customers
Maintain strong relationships with Maintenance, Reliability, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Procurement

Required

Proven experience in retaining customers and developing new business, building repeat sales, and managing a territory
Proven ability to develop and execute account strategies for top regional sites (refineries, chemical plants, terminals, power/industrial facilities) including opportunity mapping, call cadence, and multi-level stakeholder coverage
Grow market share through cross selling and upgrading
Experience selling control valves, actuation, instrumentation, and aftermarket services
Computer proficiency including MS office, SAP/ERP/P-21 a plus!
Be strategic, organized, and technologically savvy in your approach to managing your sales territory
Bachelor's Degree/Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement
