Responsibilities
Collaborate with DOE’s Division of Instructional & Information Technology (DIIT) and Ares project leadership to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for key systems such as Water Testing Management, AHERA Management System, and Capital Management and Building Surveys
Support efforts to streamline processes, automate workflows, improve reporting capabilities, and strengthen system integrations
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade .NET Core applications that support mission-critical operations for the New York City Department of Education
Build APIs, front-end interfaces, and database integrations using SQL Server, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Angular, and React JS to deliver high-performing and user-friendly solutions
Collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, and DOE technical teams to define requirements, implement enhancements, and ensure seamless integration across enterprise systems, including Salesforce.com and other cloud-based platforms
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
Leverage Kubernetes and microservices for scalable deployments
Utilize Azure Data Factory for data management and automation
Apply secure coding practices, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot application issues, and optimize system performance
Stay current with evolving Microsoft and Azure technologies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts throughout the software development lifecycle
Qualification
Required
8+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer in .NET environments
Strong hands-on experience with: .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, Entity Framework, SQL Server
JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, React JS
API development, RESTful services, Microservices architecture
Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure Cloud services
CRM integration, ideally with Salesforce.com
Deep understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile / DevSecOps)
Proven ability to design and deploy secure, scalable enterprise applications
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Relevant and current Microsoft/Azure certifications required (e.g., AZ-204, AZ-400, or equivalent)
