Responsibilities
Lead, plan, and manage daily production activities to meet or exceed safety, quality, cost, and delivery (SQCD) targets
Supervise and develop a team of production associates, ensuring high levels of engagement, performance, and accountability
Champion 6S, Safety, and Lean Manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Planning teams to resolve production issues and implement process improvements
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and taking corrective actions as needed
Optimize labor and equipment utilization to maximize throughput and minimize downtime
Utilize the Tier Meeting process to track and assess key operational metrics and implement actions and methods to improve operational performance
Direct day-to-day activities in production areas, including manpower movement, job assignments, time/attendance/vacation data, and pull the workload to meet all customer needs in the most effective manner
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
Support new product introductions and engineering changes by coordinating resources and ensuring readiness on the production floor
Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve cycle times
Maintain accurate records of production activities, labor hours, and material usage in SAP
Manage production order workflows and updates in Salesforce.com
Oversee time and attendance tracking using Dayforce, ensuring accurate payroll and compliance
Participate in internal and external audits, customer visits, and continuous improvement initiatives
Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, and innovation across the team
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a production setting
Working knowledge of SAP in a manufacturing context
Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and 5S implementation
Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset
Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Salesforce.com
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments
Preferred
Experience in switchboard or electrical equipment assembly and manufacturing
Technical training or certifications in manufacturing, operations, or lean methodologies
Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment
Six Sigma Green Belt/Lean Certification
