Prototype Machinist
ASSA ABLOY Group is a global leader in access solutions, seeking a Prototype Machinist to support engineering and product development. This role involves fabricating and modifying precision components, collaborating with design engineers, and assisting in machining parts and production runs as needed.

Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders) to produce prototype parts, tools/equipment parts, re-works, production, etc
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to ensure dimensional accuracy
Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
Modify and troubleshoot parts during development to meet design intent
Learn and implement new technologies/processes to improve prototyping and production when necessary
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Collaborate with engineers to provide feedback on manufacturability
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives for machining processes
Qualification
Required
10 years of machining & programming experience
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college, technical school or apprenticeship
Proficiency in MS Office
CAD Software – Preferably Solidworks
CAM Software – Preferably MecSoft
