Responsibilities
Identify, analyze, and report on power and energy delivery systems to support company objectives focused on safety, sustainability, and cost efficiency
Develop and evaluate long-term energy strategies and planning initiatives across the organization
Oversee consultants, contractors, and utility partners engaged in transmission, generation, and power market studies
Evaluate and support renewable energy projects by collaborating with developers, utilities, and consultants
Provide expertise in large/complex site planning and construction projects related to energy solutions
Develop and review capital expenditure requests (AFE’s) and manage vendor contracts for services and equipment
Represent the company on steering committees, task forces, or project teams related to energy initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
Knowledge of power engineering principles, safety practices, and hazard recognition
Proficiency in software such as MS Office, AutoCAD, and Geotechnical analysis tools
Ability to build trust and credibility with leadership, contractors, and stakeholders
Willingness to travel at least five weeks per quarter
Preferred
Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Extensive experience in energy project management, transmission, or generation projects
