Responsibilities
Designs, executes, and measures the results of large scale experiments
Applies economic and econometric principles for analysis, and interprets and communicates insights and findings
Begins to influence department’s strategy
Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
Qualification
Required
PhD Degree in Economics, Behavioral Sciences, Psychology, Applied Statistics or related field
Experience leading the design of lab or field experiments
Experience leading analysis of various types of data using R, Python, or similar software
Understanding of quasi-experimental methods, including appropriate uses and trade-offs for different approaches
Preferred
Demonstrated experience leading (or making meaningful contributions to) quasi-experimental analyses of real-world data
At least two years of work experience in consulting, applied research, healthcare, insurance, or related industry (outside of academia)
Demonstrated experience communicating technical topics to non-technical audiences
Demonstrated experience supporting measurement at different stages of project scale, e.g. feasibility pilots, outcomes studies, and full scaling
