Responsibilities
Support and advance accurate rating for the largest commercial vehicle insurer in the United States
Build risk segmentation models, explore emerging data sources and develop new rating variables
Help advance the team's technical stack and modeling methodologies
Design processes and tools to understand model residual opportunities, anticipate rate change patterns, and monitor product segmentation performance
Present findings and recommendations to leaders and contribute to team discussions
Qualification
Required
High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of five years relevant experience in statistical/quantitative modeling and in using various database tools to manipulate large volumes of structured data
OR Bachelor's degree in quantitative field of study and a minimum of two years analytical work experience
OR Master's degree in quantitative field of study
Preferred
A strong understanding of statistical analysis concepts and predictive modeling methodologies such as multivariate regression
Intermediate knowledge of SQL and one or more statistical programming languages (SAS, R, or Python)
Strong written and verbal communication skills that reflects critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration
Proven ability to learn and strive for constant improvement
