Corporate Controller

Responsibilities
Direct all accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness
Lead, hire, train, mentor, and develop accounting staff, ensuring appropriate cross training and team continuity
Develop, implement, and enforce accounting policies and procedures in compliance with US GAAP and applicable regulations
Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring consistent and accurate financial statements
Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits, coordinating timelines, documentation, and deliverables
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements, including oversight of timely and accurate filings
Own and optimize the use of the company’s ERP system to drive efficiency, scalability, and reporting accuracy
Document, develop, and continuously improve accounting processes and workflows
Partner in the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls to support SOX readiness and strong financial governance
Assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan, forecasts, and financial models
Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives and executive decision making
Collaborate cross functionally with Finance, Operations, Engineering, Sales, HR, and leadership teams
Support capital raising activities by providing financial data, reporting, and analysis as needed
Ensure adherence to all company policies and financial controls
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
4+ years of progressive accounting experience within a mid-sized company
At least 3 years of audit experience at a public accounting firm
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
Demonstrated experience managing month end and quarter end close processes
Advanced proficiency with ERP systems - SAGE Intacct proficiency strongly preferred
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI
Strong business acumen with the ability to operate in a fast paced, growth oriented environment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across the organization
Preferred
Active CPA license in Florida
Experience in construction, manufacturing, or energy related industries
Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements
Exposure to international operations or multi entity environments
