Responsibilities

Supervise the provision of participants’ health, behavioral, safety, social, and medical support services
Oversee the development and implementation of participant ISPs reflecting participant preferences and concurrence
Monitor ISP goal progress and review documentation regularly; provide ISP reviews or updates as assigned or needed
Review and assist with the implementation of Positive Behavior Support plans as needed or assigned; make recommendations to the Health Care Supervisor and/or Clinical Manager for revisions
Provide direction and oversight to participant outings and activities
Facilitate regular community access for participants for age-appropriate activities
Provide on-call and after-hours supervision, direction, and support as needed or assigned
Coordinate, facilitate, and assist with participants’ medical and behavioral programs
Maintain regular and consistent communication with participants’ medical and behavioral health teams
Coordinate and assist with the provision of health care, nurse delegation, and medication management
Schedule, facilitate, or participate in trainings as needed or assigned
Consistently and accurately maintain client records in compliance with local, state, federal, agency, and contractual requirements
Review and audit records periodically, including but not limited to consents, property inventories, ISPs, treatment plans, guardianship documents, and other client record information
Review written and electronic documentation regularly and address documentation errors promptly
Provide assistance and training on the use of objective, professional language and documentation standards
Assist with the supervision and management of participants’ individual and household financial accounts
Coordinate with appropriate personnel to protect participants’ financial resources
Supervise and oversee staffing support within assigned homes, working to promote staff cohesion and morale
Develop and post staffing schedules that meet participant staffing needs
Monitor staffing hours against established guidelines and notify supervisors of discrepancies
Promptly notify Human Resources of shift vacancies, leaves of absence, or other adverse staffing situations
Provide on-site training to employees in accordance with state, agency, and contract requirements
Provide personnel supervision to assigned staff
Complete annual performance reviews
Ensure timecard compliance
Provide performance management, coaching, and skill development
Provide daily supervision of staff
Coordinate and facilitate monthly team meetings
Monitor staff responsibilities to ensure homes and agency vehicles are properly maintained and meet safety guidelines
Maintain and sustain positive working relationships with participants’ families and friends, vocational and day program staff, DDA Case/Resource Managers, and other service providers
Participate in staff meetings and attend required meetings, seminars, and trainings; complete annual training requirements and maintain required certifications and licensure
Complete mandatory training, including:
First Aid / CPR
Bloodborne Pathogens
Mandated Reporter training
Continuing Education requirements for Long-Term Care Workers
A minimum of 24 hours of in-service training per year
Operate a personal and/or agency vehicle as required and maintain vehicles in safe operating condition
Maintain required certifications and licenses as a condition of employment, including:
Washington State driver’s license and vehicle registration
Automobile insurance meeting Washington State requirements
Provide a driver’s abstract every three years or upon request
Perform other duties as needed or assigned on a daily basis
Additional responsibilities for Group Home Program Manager roles may include:
Submitting monthly client income reports
Compiling, preparing, and submitting HUD or other funding reports
Maintaining familiarity with and compliance with Boarding Home and Assisted Living regulations

Required

At least 21 years of age
A master's degree in social services or a closely related field and one year of experience working with children or youth; or
A bachelor's degree in social services or a closely related field and two years of experience working with children or youth; or
Five years of successful full-time experience in a relevant field
Supervisory abilities that promote effective staff performance
Relevant experience, training and demonstrated skill in each area that he/she will be managing
Valid Washington State drivers' license, current automobile insurance and qualifying driving record
Background inquiry clearance from an authorized state agency
