Communications Manager
Inolex is seeking a global Communications Manager to lead integrated communication efforts. This individual will energize internal teams and external stakeholders by crafting compelling narratives that reflect Inolex’s unique mission, values, and scientific expertise.

Responsibilities
Elevate corporate brand reputation in alignment with company positioning and strategic goals
Coordinate activities with brand agency and corporate memberships
Define and maintain brand voice and messaging across all channels internally and externally
Lead brand adherence efforts across departments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory integrity
Shepherd corporate citizenship and ESG messaging, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals and stakeholder expectations
Promote thought leadership through executive visibility, speeches, video, op-eds, and conference participation
Act as main point person for external PR and media relations
Develop and manage integrated promotional campaigns and marketing calendar for global events, corporate communications, and sustainability initiatives
Supervise team member responsible for event logistics and media planning
Create and curate content that effectively expresses Inolex’s strategic messages to external audiences, including annual Corporate Sustainability Report and Corporate overviews presentation
Support Technical Marketing Managers with timelines and messaging for industry award submissions and webinars
Build relationships with media partners, industry analysts, Inolex speakers, influencers, and trade associations
Monitor communication effectiveness using KPIs such as sample activity, media coverage, engagement metrics, and lead generation
Manage and execute Inolex’s internal events. Create and curate content that effectively expresses Inolex’s strategic messages, including speakers series (“The Current”), Town Hall presentations (“The Pulse”), Inolex Awards, Voice of the Customer, and annual business goals communication pieces
Oversee internal messaging, including newsletters, benefits guide, memos, and leadership updates
Build efficiencies in our marketing efforts such as website/digital upgrades, internal influencers, and marketing automation
Support global internal initiatives including EHS, HR, merchandise store
Prepare and execute crisis communication plans for incidents such as environmental release, regulatory challenges, or supply chain continuity risk
Serve as spokesperson when needed, ensuring transparency and trust
Develop proactive communication strategies to mitigate reputational risk and prepare for emerging industry challenges
Direct supervision responsibilities of team members
Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, evaluates, directs, and manages new and current team members
Oversee the daily workflow and assignments of team members
Provide constructive and timely feedback
Handle discipline of employees in accordance with company policy
Organize and oversee the work of assigned team members
Provide leadership to team members to ensure all department/company goals and objectives are met
Provide clear vision, roles and responsibilities for team members and regularly evaluate team member performance against such
Communicate and lead corrective actions and changes needed to improve operations and performance
Qualification
Required
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail across multiple projects and deadlines
Advanced analytical thinking to assess communication impact and optimize strategies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel)
Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Ability to interpret technical documentation and maintain accurate records
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and across diverse teams
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially in high-stakes or time-sensitive scenarios
Capacity to identify key insights and translate them into actionable communication strategies
Commitment to brand consistency, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder alignment
High level of discretion in handling sensitive information, confidential communications, and strategic decision-making
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of 5–7 years of professional experience in corporate communications, preferably within chemical manufacturing, industrial B2B, or a regulated technical environment
Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities in cross-functional settings
Proven ability to solve complex communication challenges and make sound strategic decisions
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments
Comfortable applying analytical thinking and basic mathematical concepts (e.g., statistics, data interpretation) to measure communication impact
Skilled in using digital communication tools, content management systems, and marketing automation platforms
Preferred
background in science or technical communication, including coursework, certification, or training in chemistry, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline
experience with MS Dynamics is strongly preferred
