Responsibilities
Prepare individual tax returns (Form 1040, Schedule C)
Prepare small business tax returns (1120-S, 1065)
Handle tax extensions and amendments
Manage IRS correspondence and compliance follow-ups
Process Secretary of State filings, including annual renewals and entity updates
Review bookkeeping records and coordinate with accounting teams
Communicate with clients regarding tax and compliance matters
Qualification
Required
Experience preparing personal and small business tax returns
Working knowledge of IRS processes and correspondence
Basic accounting knowledge and ability to review bookkeeping
Strong organizational and communication skills
Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
Knowledge of Drake Tax Software or familiarity with similar tax software
Preferred
Accounting firm or tax office experience
Familiarity with QuickBooks
Experience with small businesses and self-employed clients
