Responsibilities

Work directly with a mentor in your field of study while finding solutions to real world problems
Experience our products up close by touring our state-of-the-art manufacturing and research facilities
Interact directly with our company leaders to discuss strategy and the future of Boeing
Build a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities
Gain the skills and knowledge to become a future leader in the aerospace industry

Required

Completed the first year of PhD studies by July 2026
Pursuing a PhD in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar related field
Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2026
Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026
This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Preferred

Desired experience with structural analysis of composite and metal structure, finite element simulations using NASTRAN, ABAQUS, Hypermesh, Optistruct, and coding in VBA, Python, or Matlab
The ideal candidate will have desire to perform research & development into new composite material and structures, such as the development of advanced methods for testing and analysis of fracture, fatigue, strength and damage tolerance of composites structures
Other areas of interest could be Structural Optimization, Generative AI Design, Advanced Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis
