Social Media Content Specialist
THISBOWL is a fast-growing fast-casual brand offering fresh, made-to-order salads with an Asian twist, aiming to expand globally from New York City. They are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Content Specialist to manage and grow their brand presence across social platforms, focusing on content creation, community engagement, and performance analysis.
Responsibilities
Own and execute the social media strategy across key platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and emerging channels as relevant)
Develop and manage a cohesive content calendar aligned to brand priorities, campaigns, launches, and cultural moments
Stay ahead of platform trends, formats, and best practices, and proactively test new ideas and approaches
Partner with brand and marketing leadership to align social goals with broader business objectives
Create, edit, and publish high-quality social content, including short-form video, static posts, stories, and captions. Ensure all content reflects the brand’s voice, tone, and visual identity
Collaborate with designers, photographers, videographers, and external partners to produce best-in-class creative
Actively manage and engage with the community across platforms, including comments, DMs, and mentions. Foster an authentic, on-brand relationship with followers while maintaining a consistent response cadence
Monitor sentiment and surface insights, feedback, and trends to internal teams. Partner with Customer Experience as needed on escalations and recurring themes
Identify, outreach to, and manage creator and influencer partnerships that align with the brand
Oversee gifting, content coordination, and performance tracking for influencer campaigns
Track and report on key metrics including engagement, reach, growth, and content performance
Conduct regular audits of social performance and the competitive landscape. Use data and insights to continuously optimise content, cadence, and platform strategy
Work closely with Brand, Creative, PR, E-commerce, and Product teams to support launches and campaigns
Support integrated marketing initiatives with strong social activation plans
Qualification
Required
3+ years' experience managing social media for a consumer brand (CPG, retail, hospitality, or lifestyle preferred)
Deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok, with strong instincts for what performs on each platform
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent presentation and communication skills; you're comfortable delivering high-quality presentations to leadership on tight timelines
Equally comfortable across social content strategy, production, and management
Proven ability to create compelling content and write strong, on-brand copy
Experience managing content calendars, publishing workflows, and community engagement
Experience with influencer marketing and creator partnerships
Familiarity with social analytics and publishing tools (Sprout, Later, Meta Business Suite, etc.)
Experience supporting product launches or campaigns through social
Strong visual sensibility and understanding of brand aesthetics
Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel as needed (1–2 times per month)
