As a Consultant, you will provide subject matter knowledge and experience to clients while helping them achieve their goals through various tax advisory services.

Responsibilities
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide subject matter knowledge and experience
Identifying, analyzing, and qualifying value-oriented benefits
Performing tax research related to tax technical topics
Updating and maintaining project milestones and action items
Conducting client interviews, gathering and reviewing client documentation
Substantiating results on consulting projects through presentations and written reports to clients
Assisting in the research & analysis of client data
Organizing incoming documents and files from clients
Providing project status updates to the client and internal stakeholders
Coordinating client appointments, prepare reports, maintain progress tracking data
Compiling and reviewing project reports
Serving the needs of the client by planning, coordinating, and executing cross-functional projects
Delivering Forvis Mazars' commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients
Qualification
Required
Consultant positions in Tax Federal Specialty require a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance
Solid technical accounting knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person
Effective time management
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
Problem-solving attitude
Willingness to take initiative
Close attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines
Preferred
GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)
Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or other professional certifications' exams
Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing tax work
