A-Line Staffing is hiring a Full-Time, On-Site, Instrument Test Technician in Sparks Glencoe, MD. The role involves performing production assembly operations, system analysis, testing, and troubleshooting of medical instruments, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Build, integrate, and understand the full assembly process and requirements for instruments within the production area
Perform functional and release testing on at least one moderately complex instrument
Analyze test data and results to determine pass/fail outcomes and recommend corrective actions
Optimize system performance, including precision of movement and/or light systems, based on test results
Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements
Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
Train and support associates on mechanical and testing activities as needed
Process and disposition Quality Notifications (QNs)
Ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements and Safety and Quality standards
Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams as needed
Perform standard material handling for raw materials and sub-assemblies
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with housekeeping standards
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all safety and housekeeping policies
Work overtime as required to meet business needs
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or GED with 3.5 years of manufacturing experience, OR Associate's Degree (AA) in a technical field with relevant skills
Ability to support testing of moderately complex instruments
Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and coach associates
Strong accountability for results and continuous performance improvement
Demonstrated commitment to Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing principles
Experience with mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.)
Proficient in reading drawings and measuring dimensions and requirements
Strong time management skills across multiple production orders
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Understanding of and adherence to Quality procedures
Flexibility to manage frequent assignment changes
Proficient in English (reading, writing, and basic math)
Basic computer skills, including use of PCs and Windows-based applications
Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently, make decisions, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
Strong communication and leadership skills
