MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR (HAZARDOUS MATERIAL DISPOSER)
MARINE CORPS AIR STATION is seeking a MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR (HAZARDOUS MATERIAL DISPOSER) in the Environmental Compliance Division. The role involves operating vehicles and equipment for hazardous material disposal and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities
You will operate oil collection trucks and associated pumps, tanks, controls and safety devices, and forklifts
You will operate stationary and portable pumps and skimming equipment
You will operate metering and measuring devices and sampling and testing equipment
You will operate vehicles, including stake bed trucks, vacuum and tractor trailer trucks
You will perform weekly inspections on the used oil collection points
You will assist in the packaging, labeling, and maintenance of containers of waste stored in the facility
You will assist in maintain general housekeeping standards for the facility
You will assist in containment and clean-up of hazardous substance spills
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination
You will be required to possess, obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license
You will be required to possess, obtain and maintain a current Class 'B' Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Tank Vehicle/Hazardous Materials Combination 'X' endorsement license
You will be required to possess, obtain and maintain a Forklift operator's license
You will be required to possess, obtain and maintain a government vehicle operator's license for vehicles up to 5 tons
This position is subject to recall for emergencies directed by the supervisor
