Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and documentation on motors, generators, control panels, switches, circuits, breakers, and related equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using meters, scopes, electronic test equipment, and schematic diagrams
Install, modify, and upgrade electrical equipment while ensuring minimal impact to production
Diagnose failures and determine safe temporary or permanent solutions
Repair motors, cranes, generators, and related equipment; perform basic mechanical repairs as needed
Monitor, inspect, and calibrate computer relay and automated control systems
Start, stop, and adjust gas-fired industrial ovens
Assist during emergency breakdowns and rigging tasks as needed
Maintain clean, safe work areas and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent required
Strong knowledge of AC/DC motors, generators, relay systems, variable speed drives, and PLCs
Experience with solid-state control systems and electrical test equipment
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
Familiar with applicable codes and proper installation practices
Must supply personal tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
