Law Clerk (Hybrid)
NYCM Insurance is seeking a Law Clerk (Hybrid) to support Trial Attorneys in drafting and reviewing legal documents. The role involves conducting legal research, preparing trial documents, and assisting with administrative duties as required.

Responsibilities
Prepare draft responses to discovery demands
Conducts legal research necessary to defend and/or prosecute motions
Prepares drafts of legal documents such as motions, including dispositive motions; motions to compel discovery; motions for contempt; motions to strike note of issue
Prepare drafts of motions in limine; jury instructions and other necessary trial documents
Assemble trial exhibits by collecting, organizing, and summarizing information, documents, and reports
Maintain and update files and databases including law office calendar
Communicate with claims examiners, opposing counsel, witnesses, and our insureds
Assist Attorneys and other staff with day-to-day activities
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in law related field
First or second year of law school, 3Ls will be considered
Thorough understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and research techniques
Excellent research and analytical skills
Exceptional writing skills demonstrated through a writing sample
Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, internet searches, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Highly professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
Effective time management, organizational, prioritization, attention to detail, and multitask skills
Effective communication skills that allow for positive interactions with coworkers, clients, divisional partners and outside vendors
Ability to work both independently and as an integral part of a team
Strong and unwavering commitment to customer service and high-quality legal work
