Responsibilities
Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data including laboratory and material test results and engineering design changes
Prepare engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
Prepare reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis
Provide technical support to engineers across a variety of development activities
Assist with scoping equipment usage and completing equipment qualifications
Support general laboratory functions including calibration, safety procedure implementation, and routine equipment maintenance
Notify manager or team lead of issues that may impact project timelines or outcomes
Assist with development of prototype processes and test set-ups
Execute designed test protocols and conduct testing
Document and communicate test results clearly and accurately
Handle test samples and chemicals used for conditioning and testing in accordance with safety procedures
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 6 years of experience in a laboratory environment (corporate or academic) or technician experience in a regulated environment
Experience following written procedures and working collaboratively in a team setting
Preferred
Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field
At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory or R&D environment following written procedures
Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope
Proficiency with personal computers
Ability to train and support lower-level technicians
