Aviation Maintenance Technician and Inspector

Boeing is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician and Inspector to perform maintenance and alterations on production during and post flight test activities in support of the KC-46 Tanker. The role involves troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing aircraft systems, as well as ensuring compliance with quality functions and conducting audits of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight
Perform Quality functions such as Customer and DCMA Coordination, Configuration Change Verification, Conformity Inspections, Airworthiness Inspections (including Pre-flight and Post-flights), Corrective Action and Investigations
Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures
Perform Aviation Maintenance Technician Inspector tasks in order to obtain and maintain knowledge, skills and required certifications
Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures
Perform audit/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes, according to specifications, processes, and procedures

Required

Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience with military, airline or certificated repair station background
This position requires an individual when working at heights to utilize fall protection equipment that has weight limitations
Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required
This position requires an Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Preferred

Prefer a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred. Please note your certificate number on your resume if you are certified
Preferred experience in and/or education in Flight Controls, Avionics electronics/systems, and Analysis
Prior military experience and working with military customers
