Responsibilities
Deliver specialized instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate disabilities
Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing student assessments
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and independence
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
Active Special Education Teacher license
Minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience
Active CO DOE Special Education teaching certification
Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in 4th and 5th grades
Proven ability to develop and implement effective instructional strategies for mild/moderate disability caseloads
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Immediate availability for a full-time contract from February 12 through May 21, 2026
