Desktop Support Technician (Onsite)
CEI is a large, highly regulated energy and utility organization supporting critical infrastructure. They are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for end-user computing environments, focusing on workstation setup, imaging, troubleshooting, and connectivity.

Responsibilities
Install software and set up hardware for client workstations
Diagnose and troubleshoot computer issues across desktops, laptops, tablets, and Toughbooks
Perform workstation imaging using SCCM and support high-volume imaging requests
Troubleshoot and resolve imaging issues for standard PCs, laptops, tablets, and Toughbooks
Configure and test client workstations to utilize VPN access using secure token identification
Install image systems with appropriate operating systems based on client needs
Install and configure core applications after base OS images are deployed
Establish internet accessibility, TCP/IP addresses, and internal and external email accounts
Support connectivity requirements including Ethernet and TCP/IP
Support company software, operating systems, workstations, charting/drawing tools, and network connectivity to increase productivity and minimize downtime
Interface with a wide variety of clients while delivering excellent customer service
Support cell phones and iPads as needed
Support HP and OCE printers and plotters as needed
Handle multiple customer requests by prioritizing workload and adjusting to changing demands
Communicate early and often with customers to keep them informed of issue status
Take ownership of customer issues and demonstrate urgency in resolution
Work collaboratively with team members
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Desktop Technician or Desktop Administrator
Prior experience troubleshooting and resolving workstation imaging issues
Experience configuring and testing VPN access using secure token identification
Proficiency with Windows 11, Office 365, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
Previous Helpline or customer service experience
Strong customer service skills with the ability to actively listen and respond effectively
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Must be eligible for unescorted access in a regulated environment
Preferred
Experience as a LAN Administrator in a regulated industry preferred
