The Boeing Company is currently seeking Flight Simulation Software Engineers to join the Flight Simulation Labs team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization by developing software for simulation infrastructure and tools to enhance flight simulation capabilities.

Responsibilities

Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Supports development of simulation environments to supporting testing performed by Mission Systems engineers
Works on an agile team in order to accomplish team goals
Executes and documents software research and development projects
Works under general direction

C/C++/C#/Python/Java/AdaSoftware EngineeringAgile methodologiesDefense industry experienceCoordination skillsMulti-tasking abilityCollaborative team environmentBasic networking principlesCommunication skills

Required

2+ years of experience programming in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada (or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience)
2 + years' experience as a Software Engineer
Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship
Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start)

Preferred

Bachelor's, Master or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience in the defense or avionics industry
Knowledge of basic networking principles
Experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple concurrent activities
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
