Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware/Software Engineer with experience in the integration of embedded systems. This role involves designing, integrating, and testing advanced concepts for the DoD, focusing on developing and maintaining software and firmware to support system requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop overall embedded systems architecture
Support firmware and software research development projects
Work in a team environment to develop specifications of firmware and software architectures
Research required algorithms and implementation approach
Design and validate implementation of all firmware components
Integrate and synthesize firmware for the target platform
Develop and maintain software code. Integrate software into a fully functional software system
Troubleshoot basic firmware and software issues
Develop test procedures and document test results to ensure embedded system requirements are met

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
3+ years of experience programming in C, C++, or C#
Experience with product management and software development methodology
Experience in software architecture and software development
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Preferred

5+ years of experience working with FPGA embedded systems
Experience with FPGA processor or memory interconnects
Experience in embedded software development
Hardware integration and software Integration experience
Experience using programming languages (VHDL, C++, Java, MATLAB)
Experience developing code for sensor acquisition and sensor processing
Experience with electro-optical systems (EO systems, electro optics)
Prior experience as a project lead
