Responsibilities
Own month-end close responsibilities, including fixed assets, accruals, and balance sheet liability reconciliations
Provide oversight of accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the function
Provide support when needed to ensure seamless transaction flows between procurement, production, and AP
Ensure adherence to accounting principles (GAAP and IFRS) and implement robust internal controls
Compile and analyze data for management reporting, often on tight timelines
Support annual audit activities
Support the FP&A team by providing accurate and timely reports to aid in financial forecasting and budgeting
Drive implementation and optimization of accounting systems and integrations (recent examples include Charted for vendor payments and 2-way PO matching in NetSuite)
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using available tools, AI solutions, and agent-based workflows
Work with large data sets to scrub, validate, and transform information for reporting and decision-making
Collaborate across Operations, Marketing, and other departments to support business needs
Serve as a go-to resource for accounting-related questions and process guidance
Step into ambiguous situations and drive resolution when ownership is unclear
Qualification
Required
Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience
Background in the beverage, food, or CPG industry strongly preferred
Solid understanding of how accounting transactions flow through procurement and production cycles, particularly from an AP perspective
Experience working in NetSuite is strongly preferred; candidates with demonstrated systems aptitude and willingness to learn will be considered
Advanced Excel proficiency (comfortable with large data sets, complex formulas, and data transformation)
Genuine interest in automation, AI tools, and emerging technologies that can improve accounting workflows
Ability to learn new systems quickly and translate technical concepts across teams
Preferred
Exposure and/or experience with Federal Excise Tax filings for beverage companies (not required, nice to have)
