Responsibilities
Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial office location
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access concerns
Monitor access points and observe onsite activity, reporting irregularities, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior according to post orders
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, supporting evacuations, and coordinating with onsite management and/or public responders as directed
Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and tenant service requests, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as required
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license in the state where the job is located is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
