Financial Services - Account Specialist
The American Bar Association (ABA) is committed to advancing the rule of law and ensuring access to justice. The Account Specialist role involves preparing and processing financial transactions, validating inputs, and addressing inquiries related to accounting from various stakeholders.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Prepares transactions for input after verifying that proper accounting policies and procedures have been followed
Inputs transactions into financial system
Validates and balances input
Phone communication with Vendors/Customers
Prints and validates various accounting documents, including checks, statements, and deposit totals depending of specialized accounting area assigned
Follows up on processing exceptions
Researches and responds to questions regarding accounting transactions from staff, vendors, customers, and members
Performs other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma of general education degree (GED) (or equivalent experience)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Previous experience processing clerical financial transactions
