Sr Technology Buyer
CME Group is the world’s leading derivatives marketplace, and they are seeking a highly motivated technology procurement professional. The Senior Technology Buyer will be accountable for the end-to-end sourcing and contracting process, focusing on strategic sourcing, negotiation, and procurement execution for enterprise software, SaaS, and cloud services.

Responsibilities
Proactively identifying, developing, and executing sourcing opportunities to drive cost savings, reduce risk, and improve business outcomes
Leading negotiations for new, potential, and incumbent suppliers, covering pricing, commercial terms, and legal terms (in collaboration with the legal team)
Building trusted relationships with senior leadership and internal partners to understand strategic business direction and priorities
Evaluating supplier core competencies using industry cost models, managing sourcing activities (RFx, spend analysis, contract analysis), and preparing business reviews with key stakeholders
Managing critical supplier relationships, developing performance-based reviews, monitoring supplier performance, and leading the resolution of disputes
Managing procurement transactions, data and reporting. On-going coordination of end-to-end procurement activities across the business
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of technology procurement, complex suppliers, contracting principles, and the ability to execute contract templates
Excellent analytical and business application skills
Strong knowledge of procurement applications (preferably Workday)
Excellent communication
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to close complex deals in a timely fashion
Excellent understanding of procurement processes and industry best practices with 3 to 5 years of experience
Excellent analytical skills for evaluating supplier bids and validation of total cost of ownership
Strong business application skills (e.g., Google, MS, Workday)
Strong knowledge and use of procurement applications (preferably in Workday)
Strong understanding of contracting and commercial terms
Strong process execution and project management
Preferred
Experience managing contracts with major software providers for cyber security and enterprise applications
