The role involves executing cybersecurity governance controls, validating compliance, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective control execution.
Information Technology
Responsibilities
Execute cybersecurity governance controls across 15–20 assigned applications
Identify assets tied to each application and validate compliance with internal security policies
Review evidence and reporting to determine whether applications meet required control expectations
Engage with application owners and delegates to clarify evidence, gather missing information, and support remediation planning
Document findings, status, and remediation paths within Jira
Use Excel to analyze data, track control status, and manage evidence (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, etc.)
Collaborate with team members, engineers, architects, and mid‑level management to ensure accurate and timely control execution
Maintain clear, professional communication across all stakeholders
Support governance processes as workstreams evolve, including potential future consolidation efforts
Qualification
Required
Strong foundation in information security
Experience in GRC (Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance)
Experience in financial services
Ability to execute cybersecurity controls with precision and consistency
Strong analytical rigor
Detail-oriented
Comfortable following procedures to a T
Effective communication skills with application owners, managers, engineers, and architects
Experience with Jira for documenting findings, status, and remediation paths
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros
Ability to analyze data and track control status
Collaborative team player
Social and communicative, but also comfortable with heads-down analytical work
Intermediate level of experience
Preferred
Experience with cybersecurity governance
Familiarity with NIST standards
