Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location
Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and directing visitors and/or drivers to approved check-in areas
Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, and report irregularities according to post orders and Allied Universal protocols
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fires, severe weather, and operational disruptions as directed by site procedures
Document security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership
Perform vehicle and foot patrol checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas, and report unsecured access points or suspicious conditions for follow-up
Support shipping and receiving operations by observing truck arrivals and departures, verifying delivery appointments when assigned, and reporting irregular activity per site policy
Assist with crowd and traffic flow during shift changes, deliveries, and special events to help to deter congestion and reduce risk of incidents
Provide directions and general assistance to employees and visitors, helping to maintain a professional presence and positive customer experience
Participate in site-specific training and follow post orders, including required use of radios, phones, and/or reporting tools
Work in various indoor and outdoor conditions, including walking and standing for extended periods, as required by the post assignment
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
