Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional projects to streamline HR processes through continuous improvement initiatives
Analyze current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement automation and digital transformation strategies
Manage employee relations issues with a focus on resolution, compliance and risk mitigation
Partner with leave management vendor to help administer a compliant leave of absence program, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements while supporting a positive employee experience
Partner with leaders to support leave applications and accommodations
Provide data and reporting to deliver actionable insights that improve leave management processes
Partner with leaders to support performance management through structured reviews, goal alignment, and proactive coaching, reinforcing employee development and enhancing performance
Lead HR department initiatives to meet state and federal compliance requirements and ensure timely and accurate submission of all required compliance reports
Evaluate and implement new policies, practices, and programs that align with department goals and organizational objectives
Ensure employee documents are accurately maintained and digitized, supporting efficient, secure and organized recordkeeping
Embody OFD’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department and company culture

Required

Generally, a minimum of four to six (4-6) years of progressive HR experience
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or a related field
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employee relations, performance management, and talent development strategies
Experience in leave management and policy development
Ability to foster strong business partnerships and collaborate effectively across departments
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to support a three-shift manufacturing operation, with the flexibility to meet the unique needs of a non-traditional workforce schedule
Proficiency in HRIS configurations, reporting, and data analysis
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive employee matters

Preferred

Human Resources Certifications highly preferred
ADP experience highly preferred
Background in food or life science industries is highly preferred
