Responsibilities
Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Control entry and exit at access points by verifying credentials, confirming authorization, and directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic in accordance with post orders
Register visitors and vendors by completing required logs, checking identification when required, issuing visitor passes, and notifying the appropriate contact for authorization
Monitor and operate access control systems, cameras, intercoms, and/or alarm panels; report irregular activity per site procedures
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and notifying Allied Universal supervision and/or site management as directed
Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a professional presence, challenging unrecognized individuals in accordance with policy, and documenting outcomes
Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas, amenities, and perimeter locations as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location
Complete routine reports such as incident reports, activity logs, and shift pass-down notes with clear, accurate, and timely information
Communicate with residents, site management, and Allied Universal leadership to support community rules, parking control, and access-related requests while maintaining confidentiality
Assist with special events, move-ins and/or move-outs, and contractor projects by coordinating entry procedures and maintaining orderly access flow
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
