Responsibilities
Lead and oversee multiple tax engagements for privately held middle-market clients
Review tax returns prepared by staff and senior staff for accuracy and compliance
Manage tax department workflow and ensure deadlines are consistently met
Build and maintain strong client relationships as a primary advisor
Provide strategic, value-added tax solutions
Stay current on tax law, regulatory and economic changes
Collaborate closely with multiple Tax Partners across engagements
Mentor, coach and develop tax staff and managers
Provide feedback and performance evaluations
Ensure ethical standards and firm policies are upheld
Deliver high-quality work on time and within budget
Qualification
Required
CPA required
Minimum 6–7 years of public accounting experience
Proven experience managing and mentoring teams
Strong background in tax within a public accounting firm
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational, analytical and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities simultaneously
Strong communication and client-facing presence
