Intern - Contract Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

Each intern is assigned a specific project that contributes value to the Company
Interns gather often to connect, network, and bond as a cohort
We provide professional development opportunities that prepare you to transition seamlessly into the workforce
We partner with our Sustainability & Social Impact team to participate in an event that gives back to the community
Interns will travel to off-site locations to explore real-world product installations
Interns gather with senior leaders for casual conversation, networking, and Q&A over lunch
Interns will share their journey and achievements through a presentation to a large group of leaders and peers at the end of the program
You will focus on identifying cost-saving opportunities through supplier evaluations
You will compare suppliers based on cost, quality, and lead times, collect cost data, and build models in Excel to support sourcing decisions
You’ll also help streamline product testing to ensure quality and performance standards are met
You may assist with technical documentation and other manufacturing engineering initiatives as needed
The internship concludes with a final presentation to leadership, highlighting your impact on cost savings, supported by data and sourcing recommendations

Required

Driven college students, or recent college graduates, with a major or degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
Determined go-getters with excellent problem-solving skills who embrace challenges
Organized individuals that are eager to learn and willing to take ownership of tasks
Knowledge of manufacturing fundamentals and concepts
Experience with Excel, including Pivot Tables
Strong communication skills, and the ability and willingness to lead discussions and present information to a group
Selected candidates must be available to work on-site and full-time between June and August
