Responsibilities

Receive and manage credit card dispute inquiries from members, Contact Centers, and Branch personnel
Review and research dispute claims, including chargebacks, representments, and compliance cases
Communicate dispute status, documentation needs, and resolution outcomes to members
Ensure timely processing and regulatory compliance to mitigate financial loss
Work independently on moderately complex dispute cases with minimal supervision
Analyze, process, and resolve credit card dispute cases in accordance with federal regulations, Visa/MasterCard network rules, and internal policies
Review and validate documentation provided by members and merchants (contracts, estimates, terms and conditions)
Maintain accurate, detailed notes in dispute and case management systems documenting actions and outcomes
Identify potential fraud trends, irregular activity, or compliance concerns and escalate appropriately
Communicate with members, merchants, vendors, and other financial institutions to support dispute resolution and recovery efforts
Ensure required notifications, correspondence, and documentation are completed accurately and within regulatory timelines
Provide reporting and case updates to leadership regarding workload volume and dispute outcomes
Utilize internal systems, databases, and online tools to research transactions and support investigations
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Experience in financial transaction processing, credit card disputes, lending operations, or related financial services roles
Working knowledge of credit card dispute regulations, compliance requirements, and card network rules (Visa/MasterCard preferred)
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret transaction data and documentation
Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Proficiency navigating multiple systems, screens, and PC applications; ability to adapt to new technologies
