Responsibilities
Own the full accounting cycle:
Month-end
Year-end
Payroll
Ad hoc reporting
KPI tracking
Budgeting
Forecasting
Build documentation, accounting manuals, SOPs, and training materials in a fully paperless environment
Support some HR-related tasks such as hiring coordination, onboarding, and employee reviews
Ensure smooth operations in QuickBooks Online
Manage, mentor, and train accounting/admin staff as we scale
Prepare and maintain consolidated financial statements as additional subsidiaries come online
Partner closely with the CFO on financial strategy and operational improvements
Qualification
Required
Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)
3+ years of experience as a Controller or in a similar senior accounting role
Strong experience with Payroll
Strong experience with KPI tracking and analysis
Strong experience with Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc)
Comfortable creating documentation, training guides, and SOPs
Confident managing and training staff
Able to work independently and manage responsibilities in a fully remote setup
Experience working in private companies and startup environments
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
Consolidated financial statements
Financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Month-end and year-end close
Startup mindset: adaptable, resourceful, flexible, and happy being a 'jack of all trades' when needed
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required
