Civil Engineer Manager (Transportation)
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer Manager to enhance their team in District 12. This role involves overseeing a team of engineers and technicians to ensure adherence to DOT plans and quality standards while enhancing transportation infrastructure within the district.

Responsibilities
Implement effective engineering practices while overseeing a team of engineers and technicians tasked with ensuring that contractors and consultants adhere to DOT plans, specifications, and quality standards
Coordinate and communicate with engineers and technicians from various internal and external partners and agencies
Conduct research, prepare technical forecasts, determine systematic processes, develop mathematical calculations, interpret scientific notations, resolve issues, and identify new technologies to enhance project execution
Review plans for constructability during the design phase and conduct after-action reviews upon project completion
Make field decisions regarding alterations to plans, quantities, methods of work, and construction completion dates as necessary
Qualification
Required
Four years of professional civil engineering experience which includes three years in the appropriate speciality and one year of experience in directing the work of civil engineers
This position requires possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
This position requires possession of a valid driver's license
For the Bridges and Transportation parentheticals, successful candidates with an out of state Professional Engineer license will be required to produce a valid Professional Engineer License issued by Pennsylvania within their initial six month probationary period
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title
