Responsibilities

Develop planning algorithms that ensures safe, smooth, and predictable movement of the robot for other agents. This includes incorporating as social aspects such as merging, negotiating narrow spaces and handling noisy, uncertain, and incomplete perception data
Frame open real-world problems into well-defined engineering tasks. Develop tools, algorithms and metrics to address these challenges, including improving our simulation framework
Continuously evaluate and refine the development pipeline using quantitative metrics to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability
Collaborate with planning, simulation, and perception teams to integrate your models into the full robot autonomy stack

Required

3+ years software engineering experience programming in C++
Strong modern C++ skills and a solid understanding of high-performance code design
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Candidates are required to be authorized to work in the U.S

Preferred

Experience solving motion-planning or related robotics problems
Experience with spatial geometry algorithms or computational geometry
Familiarity with ML-based planning or control systems
