Sr. Systems Administrator

Responsibilities
Provide IT systems administration in Microsoft Windows environments, and sometimes in heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environments
Provide front-line networking support on classified and disconnected environments
Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS)
Support data backup uses and technologies
Install and configure software applications requested by end users
Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned
Full time 100% onsite position with 25% travel
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Have, or obtain and maintain within six months, a CompTIA Security+ certification, or have and maintain another certification that complies with Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements
Experience with Windows operating systems
Experience with some of the following but not limited to the following technologies: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Veeam, AWS, MySQL, Remote Desktop Gateway, infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity products
Experience with Networking equipment and principles
Preferred
Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
Working experience in Windows Desktop & Server
Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions
Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes
Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods
Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development
Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange
Scripting Experience
Experience with current cabling and fiber standards
Experience with access control list, security posture, and vendor best practices
Experience with Visio diagramming and design capabilities
Certifications in Security+ within 6 months
Experience with classified computing, STIG compliance, and network refreshes
Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems, including software upgrades
