Capital Campaign Director
Tabor Opera House Preservation Foundation is seeking a charismatic and enthusiastic Capital Campaign Director to lead fundraising efforts for the rehabilitation of the historic Tabor Opera House. The role involves coordinating a multi-year capital campaign, cultivating major donor relationships, and ensuring alignment with the Foundation's mission and messaging.

Responsibilities
Following and adapting the recommendations and actions identified in the 2025 Capital Campaign Plan to ensure success for the next phase of the Tabor rehabilitation project
Identify, Qualify, Cultivate, Solicit, and Steward donors for the Tabor Capital Campaign
Personally cultivate a portfolio of approximately 10-20 major donors per year
Lead the Capital Campaign Committee efforts, including assigning portfolios, coordinating prospect messaging and meetings, coordinating details of the Tabor road show (state-wide events related to donor-building), ensuring committee review of materials and campaigns, modeling and showcasing effective donor relations strategies, and attracting new members for the committee
Ensure that best practices are created and followed for organization-wide fundraising and stewardship activities including administrative practices for tracking donations; policies for donor acknowledgement levels and benefits
Provide monthly development reports for Executive Director & Campaign Committee
Organization-wide, ensure that regular donor contact occurs using all communication channels
Coordinate between Executive Director and other staff to ensure smooth donor relations
Draft and adopt campaign materials to ensure alignment with TOHPF mission and messaging
Ensure that campaign messaging timing does not conflict with other marketing efforts
Provide campaign communication support for related activities
Serve as a public face of the Foundation and campaign
Collaborate with the Board of Directors, Capital Campaign Committee and Marketing/Fundraising committee to implement cross-sectional goals
Share supervision of Part Time administrative assistant to assist with donor recognition/tracking
Manage additional fundraising contractors, consultants and volunteers as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, business, finance, communications/marketing, preservation, history, or theater studies
Minimum five years of impactful fundraising experience
Experience that can translate to cultivation of individual donors, foundations and grant support, major donors, municipal funding (including federal, state, county and city), and business sponsorships
Experience with budget development and capital campaigns
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, donor databases, and social media
Deep knowledge of fundraising tactics with individual donors, grantors, and municipal entities
Effective communication skills tailored toward diverse audiences
Project management skills to efficiently complete tasks
Time management skills to meet multiple deadlines and follow through on detail-oriented, relationship-building activities
Personal accountability and willingness to self-evaluate
Strong ethos of confidentiality and ability to build trusting relationships
Teamwork and partnership-building skills
Knowledge of and/or experience with lobbying
