Assistant Director, Paid Search

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of paid search strategies for key accounts, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and Avenue Z’s performance standards
Oversee campaign planning, budget allocation, and performance optimization across Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other relevant platforms
Stay ahead of industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to inform strategy and drive innovation
Serve as a senior point of contact for high-value clients, providing strategic counsel and ensuring client satisfaction
Lead client presentations, QBRs, and performance reviews, translating complex data into actionable insights
Collaborate with account management, analytics, and creative teams to deliver integrated marketing solutions
Implement and refine internal processes for campaign management, reporting, and quality assurance
Oversee the integration of technical tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Hubspot, Shopify) to support campaign success
Ensure compliance with Avenue Z’s standards for data integrity, reporting accuracy, and campaign documentation
Set and monitor KPIs for the paid search team and client accounts, driving accountability for results
Conduct regular audits of campaign performance, identifying opportunities for scaling and efficiency
Lead the development of case studies and internal knowledge sharing

Required

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
5+ years of experience in paid search, with at least 2 years in a team leadership or management role
Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-channel paid search campaigns for e-commerce and B2B clients
Deep expertise in Google Ads, Bing Ads, Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and related tools
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team
Effective project management and organizational skills

Preferred

Experience with technical integrations (e.g., Hubspot, Shopify) is a plus
