Responsibilities
Shooting and editing videos
Operating segment gathering equipment
Ensuring unity of message among all brand shooting
Coordinating with other staff to determine shoot objectives
Researching, developing, writing, shooting, enterprise and producing compelling original and long-form programming segments
Contributing to special features and stories
Making data-informed decisions about what’s resonating to connect our audience with the stories that matter
Qualification
Required
Experience: Shooting and editing television news footage experience - 5+ years
Education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field or comparable television work experience preferred
Technical skills: Ability to shoot and edit video as well as light and shoot multi camera interviews, ability to work with bonded cellular live streaming technology
Skills: Demonstrated knowledge and interest of current events, creative and critical thinker always looking for stories
Abilities: Ability to formulate questions and conduct interviews in the field as needed
Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
Schedule: Ability to work various shifts, longer shifts, weekends and holidays, and be flexible with schedule changes due to 'breaking news', and/or severe weather emergencies
Valid driver's license for authorized driving in the State of residence
Working Conditions: Works inside in a climate-controlled environment and outside throughout the year and may be subjected to various weather conditions that could include extreme heat or cold conditions
Drives company vehicle to and from different locations in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws
Ability to distinguish colors and discern sounds
Ability to work different shifts, be flexible with schedule changes and able to cover stand-by responsibilities when assigned
Lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds
