Principal Systems Engineer - Electronic Warfare

They are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of advanced Electronic Warfare technology across multiple programs, focusing on architecture development and signal processing systems.

Responsibilities
Understand the customer’s architecture needs and desired capabilities and participate in requirements decomposition to ensure appropriate allocation of technical architecture elements
Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges in signal processing design
Create, modify, and/or test existing electronic warfare signal processing and control algorithms and associated system software
Develop and execute test plans, including test simulations and lab tests to verify system capability
Evaluate and assess functional performance of developmental RF systems, including signal processing subsystems, software, and/or firmware/control algorithms
Support bid and proposal activities by providing labor related inputs that help guide planning and cost development
Coordinate assigned responsibilities and competing priorities while maintaining organized workflows and operating with minimal direct oversight
Communicate and present system design details and test results to internal and external customers
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
Working knowledge of RF system design, digital and analog signal processing, waveform and signal modulation characteristics and analysis, and/or algorithm implementation and testing
Experience with system architecture definition and requirements derivation, allocation, and management
Experience developing system models, simulations, and other forms of analysis to predict system performance, ensuring design optimization
Ability to analyze engineering requirements, develop technical solutions, and implement system updates when system parameters are still being defined
Participate in occasional business travel (20% or less)
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Familiarity with development, implementation, and test of RF jamming algorithms
Experience using MATLAB, Python, C++, PathWave ADS, and/or PathWave EMPro for simulation and design of RF systems
RF receiver/exciter product design, development, and/or test experience in electronic warfare systems
Understanding of embedded systems and embedded programming. Experience implementing digital signal processing solutions on embedded processors and digital hardware
Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools (e.g. Cameo or similar)
Experience using DOORS for requirements management
