Responsibilities
Support enterprise database platforms, including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and YugabyteDB, through basic administration, performance monitoring, and tuning activities
Assist with AI focused data analysis by preparing datasets, running baseline ML models, tracking metrics, and identifying trends or data quality concerns
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling using Python and Ansible to improve efficiency, consistency, and reliability of database operations
Contribute to GenAI enabled automation initiatives that reduce manual effort and support scalable operations
Help build and maintain reproducible notebooks, scripts, and documentation to support analysis, automation, and knowledge sharing
Collaborate with senior database engineers to validate results, enhance data pipelines, and translate analysis into actionable, data driven recommendations
Provide production support for database systems, including participation in an on call rotation (approximately every 8-10 weeks) to support production issues
Follow engineering best practices related to change management, documentation, risk discipline, and operational excellence
Qualification
Required
6+ months of Technology Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Preferred
Foundational understanding of database concepts, including relational and non relational databases
Exposure to database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, YugabyteDB, or similar platforms through coursework, training, or hands on projects
Experience or exposure to Python scripting for automation, analysis, or data processing
Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible or similar configuration management technologies
Basic understanding of data analysis or foundational ML techniques, including preparing datasets and evaluating results
Interest in AI and GenAI enabled automation within engineering or operations environments
Experience communicating technical issues or access-related concerns across technical and non-technical teams
Demonstrated passion for technology and eagerness to learn new tools and concepts
Bachelor's in computer science or related field preferred but not required
